University of Pécs Signs Cooperation Agreement with Bosch Group for Research and Development
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Pécs (PTE MIK) has officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian subsidiary of the Bosch Group. The collaboration aims to focus on research and development, improving educational programs, post-graduate education, and talent management.
Both parties have previously worked together on projects related to testing driver assistance systems in virtual environments and utilizing 3D metal printing in the automotive industry. This new agreement opens up additional opportunities for mutual growth and advancement.
As part of the collaboration, the Bosch Group will provide internship opportunities for PTE students, offer professional training for its employees, and launch an incentive program for the university’s most talented students, teachers, and researchers. This initiative aims to foster a strong educational and professional environment for all involved.
András Kemler, head of facilities management at the Bosch Group, highlighted the potential for future projects in automation, various testing methods including non-destructive material testing, and the development of new products through research and development. He emphasized the value of collaboration and the diverse perspectives it brings to innovative processes.
The agreement will also establish a comprehensive excellence program to elevate the role of faculty mentors alongside students. Gabriella Medvegy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, expressed her enthusiasm for the program, emphasizing its focus on industry-driven project work by students to generate significant results in academic higher education.
