Brave Boat Captain Rescues Man from Haliç Metro Bridge
A dramatic rescue took place at the Haliç Metro Bridge in Eminönü when a young man fell into the sea and called for help. The incident drew the attention of passersby who quickly notified the marine police. Thankfully, a tour boat in the vicinity heard the cries for help and rushed to the scene.

Hasan Mutlu, the hero boat captain, recounted the events leading up to the rescue, stating, “I saw him in front of me, right at the foot of the bridge, towards the light. He was standing in the sea with his hands up at the bottom of the bridge. I went straight across the street to pick up the child. My lifeline is always ready here.”
Thanks to the swift action of the boat captain and the assistance of the marine police, the young man was safely rescued and taken to the hospital. It was reported that he is in good condition following the ordeal.
