Breaking and Entering in Istanbul: Man Attacks Mother and Daughter

Two female students in Palestine and Algeria were the victims of a terrifying attack in their own home. The mother of one of the students had temporarily moved in with her daughter, when a man, identified as HS (30), who was reportedly obsessed with the Palestinian mother, carried out a shocking act of violence.
On February 20, HS allegedly hid on the roof of the 3-storey building where the students and their mother were living. He then descended between the ceiling and through a ventilation cavity into the apartment. The suspect tampered with the switches, cutting off the electricity to the house, and waited for the mother and her daughters to return. Upon their arrival, he attacked them with a stick before fleeing the scene.
The mother and her daughter sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, they are reported to be in good health. The police were able to apprehend the attacker in Gaziosmanpaşa.
One of the residents of the building, Cengiz Yaşar, commented on the harrowing experience, stating, “There is no way to get into the bathroom. We have taken all kinds of safety measures, but of course they have been psychologically destroyed, though.”
It was revealed that the attacker and the victims had only worked together for a short period of time at the same workplace. Yaşar expressed his shock and disbelief, emphasizing that people should not become obsessed with others, especially individuals they once worked with.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident and working towards ensuring that justice is served for the victims of this alarming attack.
