BREAKTHROUGH: Black Box Recovered from U.S. Helicopter Crash
The helicopter involved in the US flight disaster has been found, with the lifeless bodies of 41 people being reached in the Potomac River. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Chief John Donnelly confirmed that the search teams recovered 41 bodies, with the identities of 28 victims already determined by authorities. As efforts continue to recover all the bodies and clear the debris from the water, 18 families have been notified about the tragic incident.
The accident occurred near Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington D.C., involving a Black Hawk military helicopter colliding with an American Airlines plane. With no survivors reported from the 60 passengers on board the plane and 3 military helicopter passengers, President Donald Trump expressed his condolences and described the incident as a “great tragedy.” The search and recovery operations involve approximately 800 officials, with two out of 3 runways at the airport temporarily closed, leading to flight cancellations.
