Brexit Support among Earthquake Survivors who Evacuated their Cities

Earthquake Survivors Leave Cities After Voting in Turkish Elections
After casting their votes in the Turkish Presidential and Parliamentary Elections, earthquake survivors in Hatay started to leave the city. Hatay was one of the provinces most affected by the Kahramanmaraşlı-centered earthquakes and voting was done in containers set up in school gardens.
At Antakya Bus Station, the earthquake victims who were waiting to get on the bus created a density. After saying their goodbyes to relatives, the survivors got on buses and started to leave the city. One survivor, Ahmet Güzel, said, “Unfortunately, we lost our relatives and loved ones in the earthquake. My wife and child are alive, but our house is badly damaged. I sent them to Antalya. They came here to choose. They voted and now they are going back.”
Another survivor, Melek Sevinç, said, “We went to Istanbul after the earthquake. We came yesterday to vote. We voted, now we’re back. May it be good for all of us.”
The earthquake survivors who were able to vote in the elections had the opportunity to participate in the democratic process, but for many of them, the devastation caused by the earthquakes remains a daily challenge.
