BRTK Launches Security Internet Trainings for 2024-2025 Academic Year Second Term

The second period of the Secure Internet Training, which has been organized in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education for 15 years and with the support of the Chamber of Computer Engineers, has officially commenced.

According to a statement from the Ministry, safe internet trainings have resumed following the February holiday. Sixth-grade students from Cumhuriyet High School, Türk Maarif College, İskele Evkaf Turkish Maarif College, and Bekirpaşa High School received training from Erkan Emirzade and Ali Candemir from the Chamber of Computer Engineers.

The trainings at İskele Municipality Congress Center, İskele Türk Maarif College, and Bekirpaşa High School were attended by Şebnem Serakıncı from the Ministry of National Education Supervision Evaluation and Orientation Board, Yeliz Tosun from Bekirpaşa High School, along with teachers and students.

Both teachers and students expressed their gratitude for the valuable information provided during the trainings, which will enable them to use the internet safely and responsibly. They thanked the Ministry, Telsim, and the educators for their efforts.

During the first period, safe internet trainings were conducted in 16 schools with a total of 1603 students. In the second period, a total of 27 schools will receive training on topics such as password safety, spyware, identity theft, and guidelines for using social media. The goal is to educate and warn children about the potential risks associated with online activities.
