A New Synthetic Grass Field and Sports Facility Opens in Güvercinlik
The “Synthetic Grass Field and Sports Facility”, a project made possible by the contributions of Beyarmudu Municipality and the Republic of Turkey, has been inaugurated in Güvercinlik. The grand opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey, Osman Aşkın Bak, along with other distinguished guests.
The ceremony began with a moment of respect and the singing of the National Anthem, followed by speeches from Minister Osman Aşkın Bak, Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu, and Mayor of Beyarmudu Bülent Bebek. Floral arrangements were presented to mark the occasion.
Minister Aşkın Bak conveyed greetings from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and expressed his enthusiasm for the new facility. He emphasized the importance of such investments in promoting brotherhood between the two countries.
Minister Çavuşoğlu highlighted the historical struggle of the Turkish people in the region and the significance of such facilities in furthering the development and progress of Turkish Cypriots. He thanked Turkey for its continued support and investment in the region.
Mayor Bebek echoed the sentiments of gratitude and pride in the realization of the sports facility. He emphasized the facility’s role in nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of sportsmanship and excellence.
