Budapest Airport: Collect Duty-Free Goods on Arrival!
Budapest Airport and Heinemann Duty Free & Travel Value have recently introduced a new service called Collect on Arrival. This service allows passengers to purchase products at Skycourt Duty Free before their departure and collect them upon their return to Budapest.
According to bud.hu, the conditions for using the service are as follows: travelers must be going to an EU country and returning from a Schengen country, and the products must be purchased at a Heinemann Duty-Free Skycourt shop (excluding excisable products).
To use the service, passengers can shop at Heinemann Duty Free stores and inform the cashier that they would like to use the Collect on Arrival service. They will need to provide their details to the cashier, who will then place their selected products in a locker. Upon returning to Budapest, passengers will receive an email and SMS notifying them of the locker location where they can collect their purchases.
Information and orientation boards in the arrivals area will help passengers locate the baggage machine where their products are stored. Additionally, a map provided by Budapest Airport can assist passengers in finding the machine.
Passengers will need to use the receipt from their purchase, the QR code received via email, or a PIN to open the locker and retrieve their products. Instructions on the information touch panel at the machine will guide passengers through the process. Assistance is available during opening hours by contacting the Heinemann Duty-Free Skycourt shop.
Overall, the Collect on Arrival service at Budapest Airport provides a convenient, easy, and free way for passengers to shop at duty-free stores and collect their purchases upon their return.
