Budapest Metro Halts Service for Film Shoot

Public transport in Budapest will be disrupted this weekend due to a film shoot taking place at the city’s iconic Heroes’ Square. The Budapest Transport Centre has announced changes to the traffic order in the area, with Dózsa György Street and Andrássy Avenue being closed off for the duration of the shooting.
The restrictions will be in place from 5 AM to 9 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. This will affect several bus routes, including 105 and 210B which will be diverted to alternative streets. Other bus lines such as 20E, 30, 30A, 79, and 230 will also have modified routes during this time.
Additionally, trolleybus number 75 will be using the stops of trolleybus number 72 on Hermina Street between Ajtósi Dürer sor and Gundel Károly Street. Furthermore, the Heroes’ Square station of metro line number 1 will be closed from 6 AM to 8 PM, with trains passing through without stopping.
The changes are expected to cause some inconvenience for commuters and visitors to the area, so it is advised to plan alternative routes or modes of transportation during this time.
