Hungary’s capital, Budapest, has once again been recognized as a top destination, this time by DiscoverCars.com. The popular website has ranked Budapest as one of the best road trip destinations in the world, based on more than 250,000 reviews.
According to TimeOut, DiscoverCars.com compiled a list of the top road trip destinations, with Hobart in Australia taking the top spot with a rating of 9.25. Funchal in Madeira and Kefalonia in Greece secured the second and third positions, respectively.
Budapest made it into the top ten, with an average score of 8.81 from visitors. The city’s Art Nouveau architecture and the scenic roads and caves of the Buda Hills were highlighted in the list. DiscoverCars.com also recommended exploring the town of Tata, known for its 14th-century castle and the picturesque shores of Lake Öreg.
