Budapest’s Downtown Welcomes the Revived First McDonald’s in Hungary
Hungary’s iconic first McDonald’s restaurant in Budapest has officially reopened after renovations, attracting long queues of eager customers. The restaurant, which originally opened in 1988, was a symbol of the “American dream” during the Communist regime and broke sales records in its early years. The newly renovated restaurant features unique architectural designs, including interior concrete and natural wood panels. Despite the rain and bad weather, people lined up for the reopening, demonstrating the restaurant’s continued popularity.
