Building Damage in Malatya, Şanlıurfa, and Elazığ
An earthquake in Malatya’s Kale district has caused damage to several buildings in the region. According to a statement from AFAD, the disaster response teams from Malatya, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Elazığ, Batman and Tunceli, along with the General Directorate of Security and Gendarmerie General Command, are actively working in the field to assess the situation.
The statement revealed that a total of 374 reports were received at the 112 Emergency Call Centers following the earthquake. Reports indicated that 3 buildings in Malatya, Şanlıurfa, and Elazığ were damaged, with 4 individuals successfully rescued from a partially damaged building in Elazığ. Additionally, rockfalls were reported in the Pütürge and Kale districts of Malatya.
