Bulgarian Ambassador accredited in Turkmenistan
The Republic of Bulgaria and Turkmenistan have strengthened their bilateral relations with the accreditation of the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Turkmenistan, Ruslan Stoyanov. The ceremony took place on June 20, 2024, where the Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova received his credentials on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
During the meeting, the speaker of the national Parliament congratulated Ambassador Stoyanov on his new role and wished him success in further enhancing the friendly ties between the two countries. The Ambassador, in return, conveyed warm greetings from the leadership of Bulgaria to the President of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen people.
The meeting also outlined Turkmenistan’s foreign policy strategy based on peacefulness, positive neutrality, and equal partnership. The discussions highlighted the potential for successful cooperation between Turkmenistan and Bulgaria in various sectors, including trade, economy, education, science, and culture.
Both parties expressed interest in strengthening ties between legislative bodies and continuing joint initiatives to deepen the partnership. Ambassador Stoyanov affirmed his commitment to contributing to the progressive development of interstate dialogue and enhancing the relationship between Bulgaria and Turkmenistan.
