Weather Forecast: Partly Cloudy with Avalanche Danger in Eastern Turkey
The General Directorate of Meteorology has released the latest forecasts for the weather in Turkey. It is estimated that the western and northern parts of the country will experience partly cloudy weather, while other regions will see a mix of slightly cloudy and clear skies. However, there is a warning for avalanche danger in areas with high snow cover in the Eastern Black Sea Region and the north and east of Eastern Anatolia.
Temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal norms and continue to increase in the coming days. Winds will generally blow from the south and southeast, with occasional shifts to the north and northeast in some regions.
Meteorology Advisor Orhan Şen from CNN Türk has also predicted changes in the weather, with rain and snowfall expected in Anatolia. Temperatures are expected to drop significantly by 6-7 degrees, with rain predicted for the western regions. Snowfall is expected in Anatolia next week, with a chance of sleet in higher altitudes. Şen warns of potential snowfall in Anatolia as a result of the incoming weather system.
In particular regions:
– Marmara: Partly cloudy with fog and haze expected at night and in the morning.
– Ege: Partly cloudy with haze and fog in the inner areas.
– Mediterranean: Partly cloudy with haze and fog in the inner areas.
– Central Anatolia: Partly cloudy with haze and fog expected at night and in the morning.
– West Black Sea: Partly cloudy with haze and fog at night and in the morning.
– Central and Eastern Black Sea: Partly cloudy with haze and fog at night and in the morning, with avalanche danger in snow-covered slopes.
– Eastern Anatolia: Low clouds and open with haze and fog in the morning, and avalanche danger in snow-covered slopes.
In the coming days, temperatures are expected to drop further, with a five-day forecast indicating a mix of rain, snow, and colder temperatures across the country. Stay safe and be prepared for changing weather conditions.
