Burak Haşhaş: Rising Star on the National Billiards Team
Turkish 3-Cushion Billiards Championship Determines 2024 National Team
The Turkish 3-Cushion Billiards Championship has concluded after 4 separate stages, determining the national team for the year 2024. Burak Haşhaş has earned a spot on the national team by placing 4th in the general classification after competing in the championship alongside 1200 athletes.
In the final match held at the Billiards Federation Facilities, Burak Haşhaş faced off against the experienced Tayfun Taşdemir, ultimately finishing second in a hard-fought battle that ended with a score of 40-20.
As a result of his victory, Tayfun Taşdemir secured the top position in the general classification for the year 2023. The 2024 National Billiards Team will be comprised of Tayfun Taşdemir, Tolgahan Kiraz, Turgay Orak, and Burak Haşhaş.
Burak Haşhaş has made history by becoming the youngest player to join the men’s national team in the Turkish 3-Cushion Billiards, boasting achievements such as World and European Junior Championships. At just 17 years old, Burak Haşhaş also made his mark internationally by reaching the top 8 in the history of World Cups, competing in the quarter-finals of the senior World 3-Cushion Cup held in Egypt on December 3rd.
