A forest fire that broke out in the Karaot village of Bucak district has been successfully extinguished with the combined efforts of aerial and ground teams. The General Directorate of Forestry dispatched 2 helicopters, 4 planes, 6 water tanks, 2 water tankers, and 2 first response vehicles to intervene in the fire.
The blaze, which was swiftly attended to by the teams, was brought under control within approximately 30 minutes. However, it is reported that approximately 1 hectare of land has been damaged in the fire.
The fire in Burdur serves as a reminder of the ongoing threat of wildfires during the summer season. Authorities continue to urge caution and vigilance in order to prevent further incidents.
