Burial of Victims of Commissar Madness
A Police Commissioner went on a tragic murder-suicide rampage, resulting in the deaths of three family members and his own suicide. Ilker Tarik Unal, a commissioner at the Geyve District Police Department, reportedly shot his estranged wife, Nesrin Unal, and her daughter Aysegul Oğuz after a heated argument. Unfortunately, his mother, Ayise Unal, also intervened and was shot. These events took place in Turkey.
The grief-stricken family suffered the loss of Ilker’s and Nesrin’s daughter, Aysegul Oğuz. The bodies of Ilker Tarik Unal and his wife were sent to Sorgun district of Yozgat, while Aysegul’s body was taken to Istanbul for burial.
Separate funeral ceremonies were held, with Ilker being buried in Sorgun district cemetery and Nesrin being laid to rest in the Karakiz District cemetery in Yeniyer town. The tragic events have left the community in mourning.
