Bursaspor Club Visits Student Attacked with Pepper Gas
In a recent statement made by Bursaspor Club, several members of the club including the second president Metin Genç, football branch manager Sedat Topaloğlu, sports director Mustafa Gönden, coach Murat Sözkesen, and the football players visited a 4th-grade student, Yusuf Emir Bolat, who was attacked with pepper gas. The visit was to show support and solidarity towards the young boy.
During the visit, Sedat Topaloğlu expressed his sadness about the incident, stating, “Goodness, understanding, and beauty prevail in our city, but we can rarely encounter such events. This cannot cast a shadow on Bursa. We are here as Bursaspor Club, the biggest brand of Bursa, and we are with you. No one should have any doubt that we will always be with our brother Yusuf Emir.”
Following the visit, Yusuf Emir was presented with signed jerseys from both Bursaspor and Trabzonspor football players, a gesture to uplift his spirits after the traumatic incident.
The attack on Yusuf Emir took place on October 29 when a person named Veysel İ approached him on a bicycle and sprayed him with pepper gas while he was sitting with his friend on the sidewalk in the Dikkaldırım District of Osmangazi. After receiving medical treatment at the hospital, Yusuf Emir was discharged. The police later detained Veysel İ, who has been arrested by the court.
