
Buse Savaşkan Takes 10th Place in Olympics with 1.86m Jump

Turkish Cypriot Buse Savaşkan Places 10th in Women’s High Jump Final at Paris 2024 Olympics
Representing Turkey in the women’s high jump final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Turkish Cypriot athlete Buse Savaşkan achieved a commendable 10th place with her jump of 1.86m.
Savaşkan successfully cleared the 1.86m mark on her second attempt but unfortunately could not surpass the next height of 1.91m after three tries. Despite this, she had previously exceeded 1.92m in her qualifying round on August 2.
The women’s high jump finals, featuring Savaşkan, garnered significant attention and support not only in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) but also in Turkey. Fans eagerly followed her performance on giant screens at home and at various viewing events.
