Business Trip Disaster: Dealing with the Fallout
A tragic accident occurred in Aksaray, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to three others. The car, which was carrying 4 friends on a business trip, crashed into a ditch, causing the terrible outcome. The incident took place around 20:30 near the Sultanhanı district, 50 kilometers from the Aksaray – Konya highway. The driver, Mehmet Ö., lost control of the steering wheel, causing the car to roll into the ditch and turn upside down, turning into scrap. As a result, Sedat Şahin tragically lost his life, while the driver and other passengers, Kürşat G. and Fatih C., sustained injuries.
Emergency teams were promptly dispatched to the site of the accident, where the injured individuals received first aid before being transported to the Aksaray Training and Research Hospital’s emergency service in ambulances. While the injured individuals recovered relatively well, the body of the deceased was taken to the morgue for further inspection.
The devastation of the accident was clearly visible in the emotional response of Fatih C., who, despite sustaining minor injuries, was seen hitting his knees and head in despair, questioning, “What can I say to anyone, Sedat?” The devastating incident has prompted an investigation by the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, as the friends were traveling from Erzincan to Antalya for a business trip. The loss of a friend and the injuries sustained have undoubtedly left a lasting impact on those involved.
