Car Engulfed in Flames on Kyrenia-Nicosia Highway
A Fire Breaks out in a Vehicle on the Kyrenia-Nicosia Main Road
According to the information provided by the Police Press Office, a fire broke out today around 16:00 in a vehicle with the registration number PZ 034, driven by Sayım Altan. The incident occurred while the vehicle was travelling in the direction of Nicosia, near the Boğazköy junction on the Kyrenia-Nicosia main road. It is believed that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the electrical components in the engine compartment.
Fortunately, the Fire Brigade Teams were able to extinguish the fire. However, the vehicle sustained significant damage as a result. The electrical and plastic parts in the engine compartment and the front hood were burned and damaged. Additionally, the heat from the fire caused the windshield to crack and partially damaged the front dashboard.
