Car Fire on Anatolian Highway Causes Traffic Chaos

A car caught fire on the Anadolu Highway in Turkey, causing traffic delays and temporary road closures. The incident took place at the Prof. Dr. Mustafa İnan Viaduct at the İzmit crossing of the highway. The driver of the car, as well as the license plate, have not yet been identified.

Upon noticing the flames engulfing the vehicle, the driver quickly stopped and called the fire department for assistance. The fire not only damaged the car but also spread to the grassy area beneath the viaduct. Firefighters were able to extinguish both fires, but the car was left completely unusable.

As a result of the fire, a traffic jam formed in the direction of Ankara, causing delays for commuters. However, after the damaged vehicle was removed from the scene, transportation in the area returned to normal.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the car fire and working to identify the driver and license plate involved in the incident. Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries as a result of the fire.
