Car overturns into irrigation canal, injuring 2 in Şanlıurfa
A car accident occurred in Şanlıurfa, Turkey, as the vehicle plunged into an irrigation canal. The incident took place at the 10th kilometer of the Akçakale road, with the driver of the car still unidentified.
Upon receiving a notification about the accident, various emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene. Gendarmerie, health, fire brigade, AFAD teams, and diver police all rushed to the location to assist in the rescue operation.
During the search operation conducted by the teams, two individuals identified as MD and İ.D were found inside the car and rescued from the canal with injuries. They were immediately transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
A crane was used to pull the car out of the canal once the individuals were safely removed. The cause of the accident is still under investigation as authorities work to determine the circumstances leading to the car ending up in the irrigation canal.
