Car Accident in Turkey: Baby Survives as Others Injured
A car accident occurred in Turkey recently, resulting in injuries to several individuals. The incident, which took place on Turgut Özal Boulevard, involved two vehicles colliding after one of the drivers allegedly entered the wrong direction.
According to reports, Zeliha Gül was driving a car with license plate number 34 PJ 7607 when she collided with the vehicle driven by Barış Cengiz. The impact of the accident caused Gül’s car to be thrown over the barriers and into a nearby water canal.
Unfortunately, Gül and two other passengers, Emine Gül and Ahmet Furkan Gül, were trapped inside the submerged car. On the other hand, Özlem Cengiz, Sevgi Çörekçi, and a three-month-old baby, who were in the second vehicle, sustained minor injuries.
Emergency services, including the fire brigade, police, and medical teams, were immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving the report. Firefighters successfully rescued the trapped individuals, who were then transported to the nearby Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital for further medical treatment.
Although a total of six people, including the three-month-old baby, suffered injuries in the accident, Zeliha Gül’s condition was reported as life-threatening. Meanwhile, the baby’s health was confirmed to be in good condition.
Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident and whether any negligence or misconduct may have played a role. Motorists are reminded to remain vigilant and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such incidents in the future.
