Minister Yerlikaya Sends Stern Warning to Criminals: ‘You Can’t Escape the Turkish Police’
In a recent statement, Minister Yerlikaya issued a strong warning to members of organized criminal organizations and poison traders, declaring that they cannot escape the reach of the Turkish police.
The minister highlighted two recent successful operations: the capture of a wanted criminal from Poland and the extradition of a notorious poison merchant from Bulgaria back to Turkey.
“I want our esteemed nation to know that regardless of their size or location, we will track down and apprehend every member of these criminal organizations and bring them back to face justice in our country. They will not be able to escape from us,” Minister Yerlikaya stated.
The captured criminals were wanted for various crimes including drug trafficking, organized crime, and terrorist propaganda. The joint efforts of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Interpol-Europol Department, KOM, Narcotics Crime and Intelligence Presidency, and Istanbul Provincial Police Department were instrumental in the successful operations.
Sinan Memi from Poland and Atakan Avcı from Bulgaria were both brought back to Turkey under the coordination of the Department of EGM-Avacılık, with the involvement of the EGM-Special Operations Presidency and judicial authorities. They were then delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command Aviation Presidency in Ankara.
Minister Yerlikaya expressed gratitude to all the ministry employees, Justice Minister, and Foreign Minister for their efforts in the operations. He also congratulated the Interpol-Europol Department, KOM, Narcotics Crime and Intelligence Presidency, and Istanbul Provincial Police Department for their dedication and successful outcomes.
It is clear that the Turkish authorities are determined to crack down on criminal activities and bring offenders to justice, no matter where they may try to hide. The message is clear: you can’t escape the Turkish police.
