Celebrate New Year’s in Astana with Fireworks and Festivities Tonight
ASTANA – The Kazakh capital is gearing up to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a spectacular display of fireworks at the Botanical Garden and near the Atyrau Bridge at midnight on Dec. 31, as per reports from the city administration’s press service.
Approximately 2,500 fireworks will light up the sky at each location, thanks to generous sponsorship funds. In addition to the fireworks show, residents and visitors can look forward to a series of festive events across three different venues in the city.
Starting from 9 p.m. on Dec. 31 until 2 a.m. on Jan. 1, New Year’s concerts featuring popular Kazakh pop stars and creative groups will be held at the city square, the Kazakh Yeli monument, and the EXPO site.
During the daytime on Dec. 31, celebrations will continue at various locations including the Palace of Schoolchildren on Tauyelsizdik Avenue, Central Park, Atatürk Park, the Industrial Residential Complex, and Koktal Park.
