
“Centennial Plane Trees Vote in Historic Election!”

Elderly citizens in Çorum, Turkey, made their voices heard in the latest election despite their advanced age and health conditions. Among them was 103-year-old Zeynep Kasap, who cast her vote in ballot box number 1006 at Oğuzlar Secondary School, with the help of her son Adem Kasap. Another centenarian, Hacı Hasan Turan, also exercised his right to vote in ballot box number 1005 at Oğuzlar Primary School, with his son Ahmet Turan’s assistance.
Meanwhile, in the Sungurlu district of Çorum, Hilmi Çağlı was brought to Mehmetçik Primary School to cast his vote by ambulance, with the help of 112 Emergency Service officers. Despite their health limitations, these elderly citizens demonstrated their commitment to democratic participation and civic duty. Their actions serve as an inspiration for all citizens to exercise their right to vote and help shape their communities’ future.
