“Century Association” Campaign by the Office of the Communication Presidency
The Communication Presidency recently organized a media tour in Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, and Hatay to showcase the reconstruction and revival efforts taking place in the region. The tour took place from February 3-5 and included 100 press members from countries such as the United States, Germany, France, and Japan.
During the three-day program, journalists had the opportunity to visit various sites and learn about the ongoing reconstruction projects after the disasters. They received detailed information on the rebuilding of houses, hospitals, schools, and infrastructure projects, as well as the restoration of cultural heritage sites.
Additionally, a symposium titled “Century: Strong Tomorrow-6 February Earthquakes Symposium” was held on February 4th in Ankara. The symposium brought together experts in disaster management, academicians, search and rescue teams, NGOs, and journalists to discuss topics such as public administration, media’s role during disasters, and solidarity in the earthquake process.
To commemorate the second anniversary of the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, the Presidency Communication Presidency published a book on the construction and revival efforts undertaken in the region over the past two years. A video highlighting the progress was also released digitally.
Furthermore, an international communication campaign was launched to showcase Turkey’s success in rebuilding and promoting solidarity after the disasters. The campaign includes visuals and information shared on leading international news portals and social media channels.
In a social media post, President of the Presidency Communication, Fahrettin Altun, shared a film called “Breath” about the disasters and emphasized the nation’s resilience and unity in the face of adversity. He praised the spirit of unity and solidarity among the Turkish people, crediting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s leadership in the rebuilding efforts.
Overall, the efforts to rebuild and revive the affected regions after the earthquakes demonstrate Turkey’s determination and ability to overcome challenges with unity and solidarity.
