Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz Emphasizes Development Goals in GAP Action Plan Meeting
During the “GAP Action Plan Information and Consultation Meeting” in Şanlıurfa, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz outlined the objectives of the GAP Action Plan, focusing on irrigation investments, smart agriculture, tourism-oriented growth, and improving the investment environment.
Yılmaz highlighted the significant public investment of approximately 1 trillion 40 billion lira in the GAP region between 2003 and 2024, emphasizing the importance of continuous development in the region. He also addressed the potential for new commercial relationships with the restructuring in Syria, which may lead to the return of Syrians and further development in Southeastern Anatolia.
