Changes in Higher Education: Closures and Openings
Several changes have been made in universities across Turkey, with the closure of certain faculties and the establishment of new ones. The Patnos Sultan Alparslan Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University has been closed, and in its place, the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture has been established.
Furthermore, the Boğaziçi University Aydın Doğan Communication Institute, Gümüşhane University School of Physical Education and Sports, and Çankaya University Institute of Science and Social Sciences have also been closed. In their stead, new institutions have been set up, including the Boğaziçi University Film and Media Studies Institute, Gümüşhane University Faculty of Sports Sciences, and Çankaya University Graduate Education Institute.
Additionally, a name change has been implemented for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences under Uşak University Rectorate, which is now known as the Faculty of Theology.
These changes reflect the evolving landscape of higher education in Turkey, with a focus on reorganizing and restructuring academic institutions to better serve students and the academic community.
