Changes of Tasks Implemented in Foreign Delegations by BRTK

The Council of Ministers in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has recently made several new appointments and extended the terms of office for some foreign representatives. These decisions were published in the Official Gazette, detailing the changes and effective dates for these appointments.

Brussels Representative Ayda Soylu had her term of office extended until July 31, 2025. Emine Andız Ertürk was appointed as the new TRNC Berlin Representative, starting from August 1. Beniz Uluer Kaymak, the current Berlin Representative, will transition to a role in the central organization of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Nicosia as his five-year term comes to an end.

On the other hand, TRNC Bishkek Representative Mehmet Davulcu will have his term of office terminated on July 31. Kemal Beyazbayram will take over as the TRNC Rome Representative starting from August 1, while Mustafa Davulcu, the current Rome Representative, will be transferred to the center.

Hakan Aksoy and Çağrı Kalfaoğlu were appointed as the chiefs of mission for the TRNC Stockholm and Budapest Representations, respectively, effective from August 1. Stockholm Representation Chief of Mission Murat Soysal will be transferred to headquarters as of June 1.

The term of office for New York Representative Mehmet Dana has been extended until June 18, 2025, while Mersin Consul Zalihe Mendeli will continue her duties at the central organization of the Department of Foreign Affairs starting from August 1, following the completion of her five-year term.

Doha Representative Mustafa Güven will resume his duties on August 1, and TRNC Consulate General in Istanbul Information, Promotion, and Press Attaché Heves Gazi Emirtaneoğlu will return to the Publicity Department as of August 1. Huriye Hançerli will take on the role of Chief of Mission at the TRNC Doha Representation as of August 1.

Tahir Gazi has been appointed as the new TRNC Bishkek Representative, starting from August 1, while Özgür Ezel’s duty as head of mission at the Budapest Representation will end on July 31.

These appointments and changes reflect the ongoing efforts of the TRNC to maintain effective diplomatic relationships and representation in various foreign offices.
