China’s Secret Satellite Sent into Geostationary Orbit

China Successfully Launches TJSW-11 Satellite for Communication Technology Experiments

China has successfully launched the TJSW-11 satellite from the Vinchang Spacecraft Launch Center on Hainan Island. The satellite was launched yesterday evening with the “Long March-5 Y7” rocket, according to reports from the Chinese news agency Xinhua.

The satellite has been positioned in the planned location in Geostationary Orbit and is said to be used for multi-band and high-speed communication technology experiments. The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), responsible for the launch, has named the satellite “TJSW-11”.

The “TJS” satellites, part of a satellite program for military intelligence purposes, are named after the initials of the words “tongxin”, “jishu”, and “shiyan”, which mean “communication”, “technology”, and “test” in Chinese. While the specific functions of the satellites are kept confidential, it is speculated that they are used for early warning, signals intelligence, and other military applications.

The successful launch of the TJSW-11 satellite marks another milestone in China’s advancement in space technology and its commitment to exploration and innovation in satellite communication.
