Foreign Investor Plans to Build Logistics Center in North Kazakhstan Region to Supply Kazakh Products to China
ASTANA— A foreign investor is set to build a logistics center in the North Kazakhstan Region to facilitate the supply of Kazakh products to China. During a two-day working visit to the region, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin met with Chinese investor Jia Heyi, president of the Xian Aiju Corporation, to discuss the establishment of this center.
The Xian Aiju Corporation has already made significant investments in the region, building large clusters for processing grain and oilseeds in the Taiynsha district. These projects, Taiynsha May LLP and Memolux LLP, are now the largest agricultural endeavors in the region, focusing on exports to China. Jia Heyi’s corporation also owns a bonded warehouse in China with a storage capacity of 100,000 tons and exports various Kazakh food products to Chinese markets.
Jia Heyi expressed his company’s interest in further expanding its operations in Kazakhstan by building a logistics and processing center in the North Kazakhstan Region. This center will enable the efficient transportation and distribution of Kazakh products to China, further strengthening trade relations between the two countries.
The North Kazakhstan Region, with its vast crop area of 4.4 million hectares, is a key player in Kazakhstan’s agricultural industry. By leveraging the region’s resources and strategic location, the new logistics center aims to become a major hub for exporting Kazakh products to China. Both Kazakh and Chinese authorities have welcomed this initiative, highlighting the potential benefits for both nations.
