Chinese Telecom Operators Aim to Establish China as 6G Development Hub
Chinese telecom operators are aiming to establish China as a leading hub for the development of 6G, the next generation wireless technology, according to a report by China Daily. Liu Lihong, the chairman of China Unicom, a major telecommunications company in China, announced that commercial implementation of 6G communications in China is expected to commence as early as 2030.
China Unicom is currently focused on studying the key technologies required for the development of 6G. The company aims to complete their technical research and study potential early application scenarios for this technology by 2025.
The newly approved 6G communication standard encompasses six primary usage scenarios. Notably, this technology will facilitate the integration of both the physical and virtual realms, distinguishing it from previous generations of wireless communication.
6G, as the next-generation mobile communication technology, will incorporate advanced computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. This integration is set to unlock significant advancements and innovations in various sectors.
