CHP Councilor Ahmet Kurtuluş Faces Court Action After Reaction at Kadıköy Municipal Assembly
An investigation has been launched by the Anatolia Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against Kadikoy Municipality Assembly 1st Deputy Chairman Ahmet Kurtuluş and AK Party Assembly Member Elif Lale Bilgili. The investigation is based on allegations of ‘abuse of duty’, ‘violation of freedom of expression’, and ‘failing in their public duty to prevent rights’.
As a result of this investigation, Kurtuluş has been detained. Following the operations conducted by the Kadıköy District Police Department, Kurtuluş was prohibited from leaving the country and subsequently referred to the Magistrates’ Court.
