CHP Establishes Headquarters in Saraçhane

CHP Chairman Ozgur Ozel has taken a stand against the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality President Ekrem Imamoglu and has set up headquarters in the IMM building in Saraçhane. Ozel stays in the building at night, meeting with staff, accepting visitors, and closely following the situation through constant communication with Imamoglu’s lawyers.
According to sources, Ozel slept on the first floor of the IMM building on the first day, working late into the night and getting only a few hours of sleep. He has decided to continue staying in the town hall instead of going to a hotel during the process in Istanbul.
Ozel is planning to use the game in Istanbul for the pre-election on Sunday and is considering gathering the FMC in Istanbul on Monday.
Meanwhile, the CHP is organizing simultaneous rallies in 14 metropolitan and 21 provinces this evening in response to Imamoglu’s detention. The party is standing upright to protect democracy, secularism, and the rule of law, with support from the people in this struggle.
Various political figures, including the Democratic Party delegation and Muharrem Ince, have shown solidarity with Imamoglu and the CHP. ABB President Mansur Yavas has expressed support for Imamoglu’s wife and vowed to show strong reactions in the upcoming elections.
The situation remains tense as the opposition parties unite against what they perceive as an attack on the will of the people. The CHP is determined to resist and fight for justice, with the hope of a better future for all citizens of Turkey.
