
CICA Constructs State-of-the-Art Facility in Astana

The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) has announced its plans to construct a new, state-of-the-art headquarters in the capital city of Kazakhstan, Astana.
According to Kazinform, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new headquarters took place on June 26, where a time capsule containing a message for the future staff of the CICA Secretariat was laid. Secretary General Kairat Sarybai expressed his hopes that the organization would continue to grow and evolve over the next 25 years, passing on the baton to future generations.
Sarybai also highlighted Kazakhstan’s efforts to elevate CICA into an international organization, emphasizing the importance of ongoing development and expansion of the association’s activities. The new headquarters will occupy four floors with a total area of 4,000 square meters, featuring a multifunctional hall for various events and meetings. Additionally, the building will be equipped with modern environmental technologies.
The construction of the new CICA headquarters signifies the organization’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and building trust among member countries in the Asian region. With its strategic location in Astana, the headquarters will serve as a hub for diplomatic engagements, conferences, and collaborative initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability in Asia.
