Closure of Bolu Mountain Crossing in the Istanbul Direction

The General Directorate of Highways (KGM) has announced a new project for the Bolu Mountain crossing of the Anatolian Motorway, which connects Istanbul and Ankara.

According to the statement, the tunnel portal serving in the direction of Istanbul on the 23-kilometer section, including the Bolu Tunnel, will be extended in the direction of Kaynaşlı as a steel construction. Additionally, 4 joint changes will be made in 2 viaducts as part of this project.

Due to these construction works, the route will be closed in the direction of Istanbul for 50 days starting from tomorrow at 08:00 until September 19 at 17:00. During this time, traffic heading towards Istanbul will be diverted to the D-100 state road, while the Ankara direction of the highway will remain open for traffic.

This improvement project aims to enhance the safety and efficiency of the road infrastructure in the area. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the designated alternative routes during the temporary closure.
