Commemorating Founding President Denktaş: 13th Death Anniversary Events – BRTK
Today marks the 13th death anniversary of Rauf Raif Denktaş, the Founding President and a key figure in Turkish Cypriot political history. In honor of his legacy, ceremonies and events will be held to commemorate his contributions.
The first ceremony will take place at the mausoleum dedicated to the Founding President, followed by a second ceremony at the Nicosia Ataturk Cultural Center. Additionally, a documentary titled “Denktaş ‘The Last Turk Who Founded a State'” has been prepared to shed light on his remarkable life and achievements.
The documentary emphasizes Denktaş’s leadership qualities and how he altered the course of his people’s history through his unwavering determination during times of struggle and negotiation. It also highlights his human qualities and showcases his active political career spanning 48 years.
As we remember and pay tribute to Rauf Raif Denktaş on this day, we honor his legacy and the lasting impact he has made on Turkish Cypriot political history.
