Commemorating Our Champion Angels: Ceremonies in Yeniboğaziçi, Atlılar, Dörtyol, Vadili and Ulukışla
Our Champion Angels who lost their lives were remembered in ceremonies held in Yeniboğaziçi, Atlılar, Dörtyol, Vadili, and Ulukışla. Efforts to honor the memory of these individuals were made in order to keep their legacies alive.
In remembrance of Mülkiye Dağlı, Abide Dağlı, Nazife Dağlı, Osman Çetintaş, and Havin Kılıç, a ceremony was organized at the Yeniboğaziçi Martyrs’ Cemetery. They were part of the Champion Angels group and tragically lost their lives in the wreckage of the İsias Hotel in Adıyaman.
Another ceremony was dedicated to Perihan Çetiner at Atılılar Cemetery. Perihan’s father, Mehmet Çetiner, expressed his grief by remarking that the loss of their lives was a tragedy that halted their futures on February 6, 2023.
Bedriye and Ecem Janissary were remembered in a ceremony at Dörtyol Cemetery while İbrahim Yakula was commemorated at Vadili Cemetery. Additionally, a ceremony was held for Kaan Selim İş at Ulukışla Cemetery.
The memory of the martyred angels was also honored with the reading of Mawlid at Famagusta Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque. These ceremonies serve to remind all of the sacrifices made by these individuals and the impact they had on their communities. The legacy of these Champion Angels will always be cherished and remembered.
