Commemoration Ceremony for Victims of Famagusta Earthquake
A solemn ceremony was held at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Palace in Famagusta to commemorate the victims of the devastating earthquake that occurred on February 6. The event, marking the second anniversary of the tragedy, was attended by President Ersin Tatar, government officials, opposition leaders, ambassadors, military commanders, and a large number of citizens.
The program began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, followed by video presentations and speeches. The Presidential Symphony Orchestra concluded the event with a touching concert.
President Tatar emphasized the importance of remembering the earthquake and vowed to continue the legal battle for justice. He expressed unwavering support for the Turkish Cypriot community and promised to honor the memory of the fallen victims by naming public facilities after them.

Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya, President of the Champion Angels Association, reflected on the deep pain and loss experienced by the community. He demanded justice for the victims and vowed to keep their memories alive through various projects and initiatives.
