Commemoration of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi in the Beloved Beşiktaş Tribunes
The Trendyol Super League continued into its 24th week with a special tribute to Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who tragically lost his life in a knife attack. Before the match between Besiktas and Trabzonspor, a moment of silence was held to honor Minguzzi. Besiktas issued a statement saying, “Tomorrow, we will remember Ahmet together.” The announcement before the match concluded with the words, “We will never forget you Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi.”
The incident took place in Kadıköy on January 24, where Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi was stabbed five times by two suspects, UB (16) and BB (15). Tragically, Minguzzi passed away on February 9. The two suspects who fled the scene were later arrested.
Heartbroken by the loss of her son, Yasemin Minguzzi shared a touching message on her social media account, expressing her deep sorrow. She wrote, “Exactly who you are; The place that I am most afraid of, the sweetest place in life… Your eyes, your hands, your feet, your steps, your food, water, breath… Do not come to me, let me come to you with all the pain… My son Ahmet, the spirit of my soul…”
