Commencement of the 1st National Eastern Mediterranean Nutrition and Dietetics Congress
The ‘First National Eastern Mediterranean Nutrition and Dietetics Congress’ has officially begun, organized by the Eastern Mediterranean University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. The congress, which opened at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Palace, is scheduled to last for 2 days.
During the opening of the congress, Prof. Dr. Emine Yıldız, one of the Congress Presidents, emphasized that the event will strengthen unity and lead to important steps being taken. Additionally, Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Assoc. Dr. Ceren Gezer, provided insight into their work and the preparation process for the congress. Faculty of Health Sciences Dean, Prof. Dr. Mehtap Malkoç, expressed gratitude to those who supported the initiative and highlighted the significance of the congress being held for the first time.
EMU Acting Rector, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Osman Mümin Karatepe, shared information about the development process of the university. Following the speeches, a piano recital took place before the commencement of the sessions.
The congress is expected to facilitate important discussions and advancements in the field of nutrition and dietetics, bringing together professionals and experts to exchange valuable insights and knowledge.
