Commerce Minister Bolat Allows Lawsuits for Compensation Related to Boycott-induced Material Losses

Boycott Calls for “April 2 Stop Trade” Condemned by AA Correspondent
Some individuals and organizations have been making boycott calls on social media channels under the name “April 2, stop trade,” according to a statement by Bolat, a correspondent for AA. Bolat emphasized that with the arrival of April, spring has begun, leading to a revival of nature, increased production, and the revitalization of the economy in Turkey.
Highlighting the significant growth in Turkey’s economy, which has increased 6.5 times and created 11 million new jobs, Bolat described the boycott calls as an attempt to divert attention from corruption and bribery scandals surrounding opposition-controlled municipalities. Bolat firmly stated, “Boycott calls are a sabotage attempt to disrupt the economy, especially targeting unjust trade and competition elements.”
Bolat further invited everyone to continue shopping and emphasized the importance of upholding the laws related to commerce, competition, and national security to ensure justice prevails. He also reminded individuals that they have the right to seek compensation through legal action in cases where they have suffered financial losses due to boycott calls.
Furthermore, Bolat expressed confidence in Turkey’s political and economic stability, noting that the country’s success in combating terrorism and maintaining macroeconomic stability will lead to increased purchasing power, employment opportunities, and welfare levels. He called on traders, company owners, and shareholders to take legal action if they have incurred losses as a result of the boycott calls.
In conclusion, Bolat reassured that Turkey will continue on its path of prosperity by overcoming challenges and maintaining its strong economic foundation.
