Common Medical Cases in Gaza: Burns and Traumas
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has reported that since the start of the Gaza war, they have treated a high number of burn and trauma cases, with an average of 55 cases per day. In a recent statement on MSF’s social media account, an MSF employee in Gaza highlighted the difficult situation they are facing in providing care for the injured.
The statement mentioned that they have been struggling to find enough food to feed the children, resorting to small amounts of canned food and lentils. Additionally, the ongoing medicine crisis in Gaza has made it challenging to obtain essential medications such as those for diabetes and blood pressure. In the absence of these medicines, the MSF employee noted that they have been using herbs as alternative treatments.
According to Doctors Without Borders, more than 800 Palestinians have lost their lives and 2,400 people have been injured in Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip since the beginning of June. The humanitarian organization continues to work tirelessly to provide medical care and support to those affected by the conflict.
