Minister Erhan Arıklı inspects road construction works in Çayönü and Güvercinlik

Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı recently visited the sites of the ongoing road construction works in Çayönü and Güvercinlik. During his inspection, Minister Arıklı shared that the road construction works are expected to be completed by April.

As part of the project to renew 320 kilometers of village roads under a highways construction agreement with the Republic of Turkey, a total of 17 and a half kilometers of roads have already been constructed. Minister Arıklı highlighted that nearly half of the targeted road renovations have been completed, with future plans to focus on the Karpaz Monastery road after finishing the Çayönü-Güvercinlik road.

Furthermore, Minister Arıklı mentioned that the ongoing works include widening certain sections of the road and addressing any necessary infrastructure improvements to manage water flow in the area. The initiative has received positive feedback from local officials, with Beyarmudu Mayor Bülent Bebek expressing satisfaction with the progress made on the road construction work.

Çayönü Mukhtar Ferdi Alasyalı also shared his gratitude towards Minister Arıklı, emphasizing that the construction of the road has been a long-awaited development in the community.
