The automotive sub-industry continues to flourish in terms of exports, as it closed last year with a record of 14 billion 879 million 114 thousand dollars and has seen a further rise in the first quarter of this year.

In the first 3 months of 2025, sub-industry exports reached 3 billion 802 million 551 thousand dollars, showing a 2 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year. These exports accounted for 40.1 percent of the total external sales of the automotive industry.

Exports in the automotive sub-industry have reached more than 190 countries, free zones, and autonomous regions in the first quarter of this year. Germany stands out as the leading market for sub-industry exports, followed by France and the United States.

Germany, despite a slight decrease in sub-industry exports from 835 million 196 thousand dollars to 828 million 160 thousand dollars, remains the top market for automotive products. France saw a 10.7 percent increase in sub-industry exports, while the United States experienced an 11 percent growth.

Romania and Spain also showed significant growth in sub-industry exports, with Romania seeing a 36 percent increase and Spain experiencing a 47 percent rise in exports. Other notable countries in terms of automotive sub-industry exports include Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Russia.
