Continued Use of Insurance Contribution Deductions for Highway Funds and Safety Studies – BRTK
The Council of Ministers has recently published a decree with the force of law regarding the continuation of contribution deductions for crossings at land border gates as part of the Financial Assistance for Earthquakes and Other Natural Disasters.
The decree, which was published in the Official Gazette, states that the contribution deduction will continue to be implemented for the strengthening and construction of highways, roads, and traffic safety.
Furthermore, the decree outlines that a fund source will be created in the account opened for this purpose in the Revenue and Tax Office. This fund will be generated from the contribution deductions applied during crossings by insurance companies operating at land border gates and authorized to issue policies. The utilization of this fund will be under the control of the Ministry of Finance, in consultation with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
