CNN TURK Meteorology Consultant predicts summer weather to continue
CNN TURK’s Meteorology Consultant, Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen, has provided insights into the current weather conditions, stating that it feels like summer with temperatures reaching 27 degrees and expected to rise to 29 degrees. He mentions a 3-4 degree increase in the Marmara region in the upcoming days, indicating that summer is not over yet.
In terms of rainfall, there were light showers in the northern parts of Istanbul in the morning, which then moved towards Anatolia. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in certain areas in Anatolia, particularly in the coastal regions of Kastamonu, Ordu, Trabzon, and Rize by the evening. Additionally, there may be showers in the Toros Mountains, Afyon, and Denizli later in the day.
Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen emphasizes that heavy rainfall is required to trigger flooding, noting that heavy rainfall is a step below this level. Rain is forecasted in the northern regions of Adana and around Hatay, but it is not expected to be intense. The weather is set to improve in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, with temperatures rising by 2-3 degrees. The most favorable weather conditions can be expected in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions, where extreme heat is not a concern.
Overall, the summer weather is set to persist, with varying rainfall patterns and temperature changes across different regions. Stay informed and prepared for any weather fluctuations in your area.
