Court Decision Aligns with Early Warnings – BRTK
National Unity Party (UBP) Chairman Candidate Hasan Taçoy has spoken out about the recent court decision on party membership lists, claiming it as a victory for the party’s integrity and adherence to bylaws.
In a statement released by the Press Office, Taçoy expressed his satisfaction with the court’s decision, stating that it rectified the “lawless attitude” of the current party administration in their handling of membership lists leading up to the upcoming congress.
Taçoy criticized the current chairman and secretary general for their aggressive recruitment of new members in violation of the party’s bylaws, noting that this has led to discrepancies in the organization’s elections, with several results being declared invalid by the court.
Highlighting the importance of following the party’s bylaws and laws, Taçoy emphasized the need for a fair and transparent election process, which he believes the court decision has now ensured with the establishment of a finalized member list.
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s elections for both the party chairman and assembly, Taçoy called for the current administration to respect the court’s decision and conduct the elections in accordance with the statute and the law.
Taçoy also issued a warning to those who may try to manipulate the UBP for their own purposes, asserting that the party’s members will not tolerate any such attempts and will respond accordingly.
